On many occasions when we get an initial enquiry regards our availability for a particular event the host asks us about the 'Prop Box' - how is it used? Does it get used? What do you provide? Why do you charge extra for this service?
This short blog is to answer these key questions.
The beauty of Photo Booth Rental is that it is terrific entertainment for both the young and old. Everyone can go into the Booth during your event, have photos taken and get to keep a studio quality print that will forever remind them of you (we use Dye Sublimation printers, the prints come out of the Booth dry (15 seconds print time) and last for 50years).
What we find that in the early part of the rental is that people go into the Booth and do more 'portrait style' photos, you may get families who all go into the Booth to get a great photo of them all together, couples go in and individuals to 'see' what it is about and get a great photo and memento.
However, once the 'Prop Box' has been discovered by a few individuals, you just wait! Immediately the Photo Booth is transformed into a 'social gethering' - friends who haven't seen each other for a time, get a goofy photo together, groups go in, at weddings all the bridesmaids dress up etc etc
Suddenly 'the entertainment' element of Photo Booth Hire becomes apparent, the Booth becomes the centre of attention - who can get the best photo, who can wear the silliest wig/glasses/hat combo.
Does it get used. Almost definitely at 99% of events that have the prop box, it gets utilised extensively.
What do we provide? We take along 6 categories and in each we have 10/20 examples to wear. We take these selections :-
a) Boas - very popular with ladies, add immediate vibrant colours to Photos.
b) Wigs - very popular with the chaps, add immediate follicle rescue - and give a great laugh.
c) Glasses - large and small.
d) Hats - various designs - bright coloured ones are especially popular.
e) Head boppers - bunny ears look great, devils horns suit some . . . .
f) Masks - the classic fancy dress accessory
Why do you charge for the Prop Box :- Once you see the prop Box used at a Photo Booth Hire event you will understand . . . . . .at an event last week, we looked in the prop boxes, there was 2 pairs of glasses left and 1 hat - there were 3 people in the Booth having a photo, wearing NO PROPS - we looked on the dance floor - There we could see all the Prop Box - being utilised 'for entertainment' by virtually everyone on the dance floor!! Everyone had a great time - we got 99% of all the Prop Boxes returned - but this kind of use takes its toll, therefore we make a nominal charge for wear/tear. On many occasions we do not charge for the Prop Box anyway, it is automatically included in our Photo Booth Rental Packages.
