Record photo in our Booth

Howmany people can you fit in your photo booth?
This is a question that we are often asked whilst giving quotes, and also whilst at events. We usually reply with '4 or 5 in comfort, you can squeze 6 or 7 people occasionally, but you'll manage to get more in towards the end of the event - people become more flexible . . .' - at an event, usually 4 or 5 will then usually go into the booth, whilst their friends remain outside - then their friends will go in separately - later in the event they will all return and manage to get 6 or 7 into the booth and into the photos.

This was exactly the case last Saturday night at a 21st party at Charlies Restaurant/Bar in Harpenden, through the night we'd had groups of 3 to 5 go in the booth, and great fun was had by all . . . .. .   the booth had a queue all night . . .. .   then we had a big group who went into the booth and broke a long held record for our booth, the most number of people in a photo.

When we set up the photo booth for an event we always set the same camera settings, so the picture size is always the same, and the camera angle is the same. Our booth is a traditional style sit down booth, not standing so the distance from camera to guests is always the same.
Previously, the record number of people in a photo from the booth had been 8, and this had been reached on several occasions, in fact, on many occasions. At times we've even had 10 to 15 try and cram in the booth, but the photos were always just 8 heads max.
On saturday we got a photo with 10 people on it!  How this was managed we will never know, for at the time the attendant was putting photos into a message book, and the 3 photos were only spotted the day afterwards - at the time the attendant put the photo into the message book he thought it was 8 heads like usual -(although, I will also add, that we are not that 'sad' that we actually count them . . . .)

What a great photo!  This record will stand for some time . . . . . . .

Xmas Party - Special Package -

I know it's only September and the trees still have leaves . . .  but now is the time to start organising those Xmas parties, in fact we have given 3 quotes this week . . .

Olly Murs on the Photo Booth

A few weeks ago we got another new photo booth for FlashBox - identical to the other booths - but we decided to change the graphics, marginally, once more. What a great opportunity to utilise some of our 'celebrity in the photo booth' shots that we have taken over the last few months.

Certainly, the best photo we have of a celebrity in the Flashbox photobooth is that of Olly Murs and his friends having a great time, this we decided should be a 'large' photo. Then we also managed to fit in smaller photos of JB Gill (from JLS) with his girlfriend Chloe and Mark Wright and Lauren from TOWIE.

But remember, it is not compulsory to have the Flashbox artwork - if you want your own, then we can give you the size of artwork required and then we fit it 'into the skin' of the booth, at no extra cost. Here's a photo of the booth at a summer ball last month where the booth had a 'themed' skin :-


Or, if you just want a plain coloured shell, then this can also be provided.  Our booth gives great flexibility in its design and really means you can have any colour/theme you want in the 'skin' of the booth. And remember, the artwork actually goes into the 'shell' and is not stuck on the outside like our competitors - ours is really the most prestigious photo booth in the hire market in the UK.

Marquee Photo Booth

Even though we are only just into May we have already had 4 events this year where the photobooth hire has taken place in a marquee. 

Does operating in a marquee cause difficulties for a photo booth hire?  To be frank, without some planning, it can do . . . .  however, as we have done so many 'marquee events' we can tell you exactly what is needed.
We have never been unable to operate when turning up for a marquee event, although on a couple of occasions we have not been able to go in the exact position that the host envisaged; on one occasion because there was no power source and on another because the floor was virtually at a 45degree angle (your garden may not be as flat as you imagined . . .).

What do we ask for : a) Some kind of hard flooring, even if it is just a piece of hardboard under the marquee carpet.  b) Secure power source.

Because our booth is solid once erected it will certainly be better at coping with uneven floors or slopes than most of our competition and because we have so many marquee events under our belts we are experienced enough to deal with the unexpected.

Unlimited Prints - is unlimited

With every Photobooth hire we offer unlimited prints in the package. So if you are having double prints, then there is no limit as to how manydouble  prints you can have on the night during the hire period.

Last week we hit a record of number of prints at an event - it was a terrific 18th Party - in a Marquee in mid Bucks (so, were we glad it had heating!) - in less than 3 hours we had to change the paper/media - that was at 400 prints - in the last hour, things slowed marginally, with the final count being 562 prints in 4 hours 10 minutes . . . . . . . .  yes, 562 prints!!

So, the message book was crammed full of photos and messages and guests left with hands full of studio quality mementos.

The number of prints highlights our quality equipment, highlights that we use a super fast dye-sublimation printer, and highlights that we never stop people using the booth, it is genuinly unlimited prints on your package.

Here we show the print graphics for the night - note the 2 designs - again, this is part of our quality packages - if a host can't decide between our photobooth graphic selections for their event, then we can change mid way through. This then gives their guests slightly different mementos and is another novel feature of choosing FlasBoxUk Photo Booth Rental - We really do give you choices.

Key dates getting booked

Some of our key dates for 2012 are now getting fully booked.

For instance the Jubilee week-end of 1/2/3 June is now 'Sold Out'. For this long. long week-end we got our first booking for photobooth hire last March - it was then that we heard about the double bank holiday, so knew we would get loads of requests . . . . . . .  we just didn't expect as many . . . . .  .

With one booth booked for the whole w/end at a Council event, all our other resources have been utilised for weddings. Unfortunately, we are still getting requests (especially for the 2nd June) . . . . . We will probably have more resources by then, but we are not taking extra deposits until this is confirmed . . . . . watch this space.

Other key dates are again in September, as they were last year - and also December is already looking like another log jammed period for photo booth rental as we have a couple of bookings already, whereas last year all our December bookings arrived after August.

When is it best to book your photo booth hire ? - to be honest, as soon as possible . . . . . We have had bookings 2-years in advance . . . . .  but you should be ok up to 9 months ahead. Don't be afraid to check for late availability though . . ..  .we are free this week end!!!

Are photo booth bookings cheaper if booked well in advance?  Unfortunately not - our prices are the same all the time . . . . . . . .  we just vary our price slightly for mileage.

We've seen a photo booth like yours for hire at £400 for 3 hours, will you match?   Unfortunately, we have confidence in our product, our booth and equipment are all top quality, We will stay with our price quote.  The other booth will NOT be like ours - check out their photos, check what equipment they are using, do they have any track record/recommendations?  We often are told that we are the 'Mercedes' of the photobooth hire market - we will never be the cheapest, neither the most expensive, but we have a quality product.

We don't want 2 prints or a message book, will the price be cheaper?  Yes, we will adapt our price quote for your requirements.

Do you have availability for 2nd June?   NO, sorry . . . . . .

New Year - New artwork for our Photobooths -

Well they do say that a change is as good as a rest . . . . .

We have a unique design for our Photobooth that allows artwork to be placed inside the skin - this is great for corporates and for individuals - all clients can get us to do 'special' artwork or they can provide their own and we put it into the photobooth for free.

Our own artwork, still looked great . . . . but we decided to have a minor change ourselves, keeping the same theme we just added some new photos - including one of Mark Wright + ex . . . . but it's only small, also attached is the first guest who spotted the 'celebrity'.



Remember if you are thinking of hiring a photobooth this year that there are only so many dates available now . . . . we are a wedding show at Sopwell House this Sunday (Jan 22nd 2012) 11am to 4pm - We'd love to see you!
