Greenscreen does work in a Photo Booth

Greenscreen gives the ability for there to be any background to the image produced by the photo booth. Thus instead of seeing the usual photobooth curtain, any image can be utilised.  This is the same technology as used in many films (Harry Potter didn't actually fly a broomstick!).

We have offered Greenscreen as an Option for a few months now for our photobooth hire, however, it has been an Option hardly discussed by any potential clients.

On Saturday We provided some of the entertainment at a Summer Ball - the theme of the event was 'The Golden era of Hollywood' - this was a great event to use the Greenscreen. The host wanted the 'Hollywood Hill' in the background.

On setup of the Photo booth we had to reposition the camera (to give more prominence to the background) and use a slightly wider angle lens, We also had to alter the image given (to shift the text higher), but the overall result was very satisfactory.

Even when the Booth was packed the Greenscreen image was visible - just !

Everyone loved their images and they looked great on the photo print.

Here is what was behind the people when they entered the booth :-

Did the guests think it strange sitting in front of a Greenscreen, no, not at all. When they looked at the screen in front of them the 'liveview' on the touchscreen already had the image behind them - and between each photo the 'preview' screen showed the image with the background in place.

The only difference for the user of the photobooth, in comparison to a normal curtain operation,  was that usually people see a mirror image in the 'liveview' screen - thus it feels like looking in a mirror, which is what people naturally expect. On the Greenscreen We couldn't do this as the script would have been backwards, but as many of the guests hadn't been in a fun booth before, no one noticed.

More Choice than the Competition

We have mentioned before that FlashBoxUK is not the only Photo Booth Rental Company around - in fact we have our own list of our competitors, and it grows longer nearly every week - hello BoothBoys, hello Limelighthire !!

What we are increasingly finding is that all these new Companies are actually using the same Booths, it's a Booth manufactured in the UK by a company known (on the internet) as ilovephotobooths. We actually looked at this Booth when we entered the market but decided to design/build our own alternative (see the blog we wrote about this experience below). We dedcided that clients deserved more choice.

If different operators are utilising the same Booths for hire, what can Clients use for differentiation - all operators will tell you that they are going to give the best service, but of course you don't know this until after the event!

Our Booth is of UNIQUE DESIGN - there is nothing else like it in the market place - It really does give any event the WOW factor !!

But not only do we give a better experience visually with our Booth, but we offer more CHOICE in the product. For every booking we also offer UNIQUE GRAPHICS on the photos printed and give the client a choice of a minimum of 2 art works.

Howcome there's photos on them both ? - Our Client was so happy with the graphics that they couldn't decide which to choose, and so we did 1.5hrs on the first graphic and then switched the software and had the 2nd graphic for the rest of the gig - do our competitors offer this level of service?

Also, see below all the options we gave a bride recently - we actually gave her 4 Options of graphics before her big day (sorry, white borders don't show up very well in blog land!)! 

Then, would you believe, we set up early (it was a local Wedding) and noticed the 'colour scheme' in the room, so changed the colour of the print graphic to match - We then showed the bride all the options again on the night (it's easier to decide when you can actually see the photos printed, and not on a screen!) - She loved the new colour scheme, and we rolled with this :

We are also continually developing our offering into the Photo Booth Hire market - as you can see in other blogs, we have recently introduced a 'Video Message' Option - in fact we have a Wedding this Saturday (11th June) utilising this choice.
